About me

I am a farm girl from Iowa who loves movies, sports, gardening, Dungeons and Dragons, and, most of all, reading. I graduated from Iowa State University in 2022 with an MA in English Literature and Wilkes University in 2025 with an MFA in Creative Writing. I currently teach foundational writing and business communications courses at Iowa State.

I have a love for all things fantasy, science fiction, and westerns, from film to games to books. My favorite books are usually epic high fantasy novels, whether it's grimdark or sword and sorcery, but really, I read about anything and everything. When I'm not writing or teaching, you can find me at an Iowa State football game or wrestling meet. Go Cyclones! My writing companion is Indiana Bones, my corgi. She enjoys walks, chasing leaves in the fall, and rolling in the snow in the winter.
